Support the GlobalWE mission while in the comfort of your home!

Sajida Shroff, GlobalWE Board President wrote in our April newsletter: "As COVID-19 makes its presence felt around the world, GlobalWE hopes that you and yours are staying safe and well.  While each country faces distinct challenges, it is inspiring that globally we are all taking time to think about the more vulnerable members of our communities including seniors, young children, and women. And while our children and youth are learning in new ways, it is gratifying to see the open sharing of resources and best practices. Once again, we see the impact of education and empowerment – in how we react and navigate through this global pandemic. Worldwide we are all now practicing ‘physical distancing’ to safeguard our communities, families, and ourselves. And while this is disconcerting, we urge you to stay connected – reach out and virtually touch someone via phone, email, etc."

As we all do our part to "flatten the curve," we hope to also bring our GlobalWE community together in this time through a virtual movie club.

How does it work? Each month GlobalWE will announce a new film that is widely available on platforms like Netflix. We ask that you watch the film at your leisure from the comfort of your home. After a suitable amount of time, we will then gather virtually to discuss the film, raise questions, and advance the mission of GlobalWE: the empowerment of women through education, dialogue and connection among individuals working for women's rights and freedoms worldwide. This is our first time hosting such an event so we welcome movie suggestions, feedback, and ideas!
