Women's Empowerment expo
The annual Women’s Empowerment Expo enables organizations serving women and girls worldwide to engage with Harvard University alumni, students, affiliates, and friends who seek internship, volunteer, mentorship, career exploration, and charitable giving opportunities.
20+ Participating organizations in every Women’s Empowerment Expo
5 Continents where women and girls are served by these organizations
In 2021 and 2022, the Expo was held virtually as a multi-part series and offered a unique opportunity for women’s empowerment organizations and hundreds of members of the Harvard University community from all over the world to engage with each other through this program.
We are thrilled to announce the first-ever Hybrid Expo in Boston on March 25, 2023

- Leadership and mentorship in the areas of sustainable impact, work, and education in the digital age and healthy communities
- Women's voice and community building across storytelling, performance, sports, and outdoors

GlobalWe Connect is an initiative connecting Harvard University alumni with organizations leading the way globally for women's empowerment.
Launched in 2021, Harvard GlobalWE Connect is an initiative that connects Harvard University alumni with organizations leading the way globally for women’s empowerment in the arts, social services, education, health, economic development, entrepreneurship, policy, STEM, and other fields. Connect’s programs include the annual Women’s Empowerment Expo and the Fireside Chat Series.
Women's Empowerment Fireside Chat Series
The Women’s Empowerment Fireside Chat Series features dialogues with senior leaders of organizations serving women and girls worldwide about the challenges and opportunities they encounter in a rapidly-changing world.
Our inaugural Fireside Chat featured leaders from the international development organization BRAC and its North American affiliate BRAC USA.
GlobalWE highly encourages our members to do their own research before getting involved in any organization unaffiliated with Harvard. Harvard GlobalWE does not advocate a specific ideology or agenda; the views expressed and actions taken by the organizations listed on this page are independent of Harvard University and Harvard GlobalWE.
Join Team Connect
The Connect team is looking for volunteers to join the team. Areas of support include organizational outreach, marketing, communications, and event logistics. We appreciate any time you can afford to support this new initiative.
If you are interested in joining the Connect team, please contact connect@harvardglobalwe.org.
