Harvard GlobalWE invites students, alumni, and friends to our 4th Annual Student/Alumni Roundtable discussion on Sunday, February 21st, 12:00-1:15pm ET, via Zoom. This year, we will have a timely dialogue on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the lives of women. We are pleased to welcome the following panelists to the roundtable: Harvard undergraduate Amanda Stickels, digital teamwork expert and author Erica Dhawan, and social advocate and human rights defender Zuleika Yusuf Daffalla. Last year, alumni and students gathered to examine and discuss the role of fashion as a form of oppression and self-expression. The event was hosted by Harvard GlobalWE in collaboration with the Harvard Alumni for Fashion, Luxury & Retail SIG and the Islamic Fashion and Design Council. We were joined by five wonderful panelists, acclaimed entrepreneurs, scholars, curators, and historians who discussed the relationship between the fashion industry and gendered societal authority structures: Heather Bowie Kaye (Harvard University, AB ’96), Angela Latham, Marley Healy (Harvard Extension School, ALB '12), Elizabeth SemmelhackSusan Brown.

Two years ago, alumni and students gathered in a roundtable discussion on the polarization of the media with Annafi Wahed founder of The Flip Side and board members Allison Lee Pillinger Choi, AB '06, and Angela Cho (as covered in The Crimson).
